Latiya Gholar


Latiya founded Tailand Designs in 2000.  She studied Fashion Design at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The International Academy of Merchandising and Design- Chicago.  She recently graduated with a BFA in fashion design & marketing from The International Academy of Design and Technology- Sacramento.  Her contemporary women’s line, Tailand Designs is geared towards the classy, ultra feminine, modern modest women.  She also has a collection named “American Ummah” inspired by Islamic cultural dress infused with American cultural dress. In the future, Latiya will be opening a non-profit fashion design schools for girls in Sacramento and eventually open in other metropolitan cities.  She firmly believes in investing into the community in which she lives.  Latiya currently resides in Sacramento, California with her husband and three children.
